The Black Belt Tae Kwon Do academy is a family owned business located in downtown San Juan Capistrano, California. It was established in 2003 and in 2006 Master Rafael Sanchez became the Sabumnim (Master instructor). Master Rafael Sanchez is a 5th degree Tae Kwon Do black belt (Kukkiwon certified) and the school is also registered under Kukkiwon, which is the only international institution that recognizes TKD as an Olympic sport. Master Rafael Sanchez started his martial arts journey in 1985. He began teaching in 1993. As a true martial artist, Master Sanchez also holds the rank of 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu under Marcio Feitosa and holds the rank of Shodan black belt in Judo, under Sensei Juan Montenegro from Orange County Judo Training Center in Garden Grove, California.

Our Tae Kwon Do program specializes in children ages 4 to teens and Master Rafael Sanchez is a very experienced in teaching students who have autism. Tae Kwon Do is the most popular martial art worldwide and is also a full medal Olympic sport. It has evolved to become an important tool for physical fitness, character development, discipline and promotes a well-balanced lifestyle. Tae Kwon Do will give your child both confidence and self-esteem by challenging him or her on a daily basis and will improve all aspects of their life.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

Professor Rafael Sanchez, a third degree Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Black Belt under Marcio Feitosa, he leads our team of instructors. With his black belt experience, Professor Sanchez has a wealth of knowledge and is committed to helping our students grow and progress. Our private classes offer individualized instruction and our adult group classes offer an opportunity for camaraderie and growth for all levels of experience.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced martial artist, we welcome and encourage you to come and take private Judo lessons with Sensei Rafael Sanchez at Black Belt Tae Kwon Do Academy. With our private lessons, you can have one on one training sessions with Sensei Rafael Sanchez, where he can evaluate and pinpoint areas of improvement, so you can have a more effective stand up game. Sensei Rafael Sanchez teaches with dedication, passion and focus, providing you with personalized attention to improve your Judo technique
